The Arts Council of South Savo in its meeting on 14.12.2007 has allocated working grants for the year 2008 and grants for art projects for the year 2008. The council has also allocated grants from savings of 2007.

The Arts Council of South Savo received 47 applications for working grants 2008, in total 570 929,52€ and 84 applications for art projects,
in total 269 128,07€.

The Arts Council of South Savo decided to increase the amount of the working grants to 15 110€ / per annum and thus was able to allocate five and a half (5,5) annual grants, in total 83 105€. The Arts Council of South savo has allocated 24 grants for art projects for the year 2008, 50% of all grants for art projects, in total 26 000€. The remaining 50% of these grants can be applied for in May 2008 and allocations will be made in June 2008. From its savings The Arts Council of South Savo has allocated 3000€.

The focus point of The Arts Council of South Savo is supporting professional art and enabling artistic working periods of app. 12 months. The Arts Council of Finland hands out longer-term grants for artistic working. The regional arts council, within its budget, can enable working periods up to 12 months in maximum.
