REGIONAL ARTISTSThe Arts Council of South Savo has four regional artists. In 2008 regional artists for performing arts, the various visual arts and music will work for the Arts Council in addition to the regional artist/producer. In 2009 we will have regional artists for visual arts and arts education in addition to the regional artists for performing arts and production.In their mission statement the regional artists will concentrate on enhancing accessibility of art, everybody’s right to and participation in arts, on contributing to the diversity in art and culture and their nationalisation and internationalisation. Also the regional artists’ own artistic work is to be seen in the art life of South Savo.

My task is to enhance visual arts in South Savo. Exhibitions, practical help to artists, strengthening international contacts and film education are central emphasis in my work.

Within my field of expertise I supervise and plan projects. The emphasis is in public education, public work and various long term projects, which promote national networking of regional professional theatres, artists and associations. My work as regional artist of performing arts emphasises also projects involving various fields within the performing arts.
